About Specialist Wallpaper Installer

Specialist Wallpaper Installer is an Orlando wallpaper crew built around a simple idea: a wallcovering is only as good as the surface beneath it and the planning that happens before the first cut. We spend more time looking at walls, measuring rooms and talking through patterns than most people expect, because that is where a clean result is decided.

Why We Start Below the Surface

Homes around Orlando come in two broad types. There are the concrete-block ranch houses built in the middle of the last century, often with several coats of paint over textured plaster or block, and there are the stucco two-story homes in newer subdivisions, finished with builder-grade drywall and flat paint. Each behaves differently under paste.

Before quoting a project, we check for loose paint, old adhesive, drywall paper that has been torn by an earlier removal, and signs of moisture near windows, slider doors or bathrooms. Our climate brings long, sticky summers with storms most afternoons, so a wall that holds moisture will eventually push paper away from it. Finding that early saves you from paying for an installation twice.

  • Adhesion test on existing paint
  • Moisture check around openings and wet rooms
  • Primer chosen for the specific surface and paper

How a Project Runs With Us

You tell us what the room is for and show us the paper you like. We measure, work out the roll count with the pattern repeat in mind, and write down exactly what prep and installation the job includes. On install day, we protect the floor and nearby furniture, prepare the walls, and hang from the point in the room where a pattern mismatch would be least visible.

We wipe each seam as it goes up, trim with sharp blades at ceilings and baseboards, and walk the room with you at the end. If something does not look right to you, we would rather hear it while the tools are still out.

The Kind of Work We Take On

Our days are filled with feature walls in bedrooms and dining rooms, powder rooms papered top to bottom, nursery murals, grasscloth in home offices, and commercial vinyl in offices and retail spaces. We also strip old paper and repair the walls underneath, which is often the larger part of the job in older Orlando homes. Whatever the size, the same habits apply: look carefully, prepare properly, hang patiently.

What to expect

How a visit goes

  1. Honest prep advice

If your wall has glossy paint, torn drywall facing or a lingering moisture problem, we say so before work starts and suggest the fix that makes sense for that surface.

  2. Patterns that line up

We plot where the repeat falls at eye level and in corners, so the match holds across the whole room instead of drifting by the last strip.

  3. A tidy work area

Drop cloths go down first, scraps leave with us, and paste residue is sponged off trim and ceilings before we call the job done.
